12V Outdoor Beam Door Detector

A rugged 12V DC infrared beam detector pair for outdoor door, gate, and entryway monitoring. Transmitter and receiver share identical dimensions: 90 × 35 × 30 mm, weight ~180 g each. Fully sealed housing with integrated waterproof lid — no screws or O-rings required for weather integrity. Compatible with standard 12V DC power sources and alarm/automation controllers accepting dry-contact or TTL-level inputs. Detection is based on uninterrupted IR beam transmission; beam break initiates a clean, low-jitter output signal. Critical subsystems include a lightning-suppression circuit on the receiver input stage, a constant-output-power IR transmitter, and an AGC + filtering system that actively compensates for ambient light shifts and atmospheric scatter. Performance remains stable from dawn to dusk and in overcast, drizzle, or high-humidity conditions — validated under repeated 72-hour wet-cycle testing. Deployed across domestic automated gates, commercial delivery bay doors, churchyard access points, and holiday home entrances — anywhere long-term outdoor uptime, resistance to false triggers, and minimal post-installation adjustment are prioritised over lowest upfront cost.
