This is a built-in PWM driver with an integrated clock, using I2C communication. It differs from the TLC5940 series — no need to continuously send signals, freeing up your microcontroller. It is 5V compatible and can be controlled by a 3.3V microcontroller. It safely supports up to 6V output (3.4V+ is suitable for driving white or blue LEDs). Six address-select pins allow up to 62 driver boards on a single I2C bus, providing up to 992 PWM outputs. PWM frequency is adjustable up to approximately 1.6 kHz. Offers 12-bit resolution PWM output, enabling 4 µs resolution at a 60 Hz update rate. Supports configurable push-pull or open-drain output. Includes an output enable pin to quickly disable all outputs. Features the PCA9685 IC mounted at the center of the board. Includes a green power indicator LED and screw terminal for power input. Designed to accommodate 16 servo motors via four sets of 3-pin connectors (servo plugs fit standard 0.1-inch pitch headers). Input reverse polarity protection is provided at the terminal block. Cascadable design. A large capacitor is recommended on the V+ line (e.g., 1000 µF, 10V) — required in some applications. Peripheral input voltage depends on this capacitor. A 220 Ω series resistor is included on each PWM output line for protection and easy LED driving. Color: Blue. Material: PCB. Dimensions: 60 × 25 mm. Package includes: 1 × Servo driver board.
