2.25 Inch Sewing Batting Strips Set

Set contains three 30-metre rolls, each precisely 5.7 cm wide. Constructed from a tested polyester-cotton blend delivering optimal balance between compressibility and recovery — key for maintaining roundness and structural integrity in hand-rolled rugs. Slight surface nap enhances friction grip between layers, preventing internal slippage during stitching and steaming. Compatible with UK-standard jelly roll rug makers (including popular brands like Clover and Prym), as well as custom-built wooden jigs. Performs reliably under both hand-sewing and domestic machine top-stitching — does not bunch or shift beneath presser foot due to controlled fibre cohesion. Frequently recommended by UK-based YouTube craft educators and independent quilt shop owners for its consistency across seasons — unaffected by typical UK humidity fluctuations that cause pure cotton battings to swell or stiffen.
