37-Inch Cast Iron Rain Measuring Tool

Engineered for reliability in variable British weather, this 37-inch rain gauge uses a thickened transparent plastic tube mounted within a solid cast iron frame. The tube’s entrance is dimensionally aligned with its internal bore to guarantee faithful rainfall volume translation into linear scale readings. Scale increments are clearly marked in tenth-inch divisions with enhanced contrast, and a reflective blue metal backing intensifies water column visibility under all lighting conditions. The cast iron structure provides exceptional mass and rigidity — resisting tilt, corrosion, and thermal expansion — while the tube remains easily removable for cleaning or winter storage. Setup is intuitive: four frame segments join without tools, and the H-leg stake ensures deep soil penetration; the rear hook adds versatility for non-ground installations.
