4 6 8 Point Star Lens Filter Set

This professional-grade star filter set comprises three optical filters — 4-point, 6-point and 8-point — each available in seven standard thread sizes: 49mm, 52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm and 77mm. Constructed from magnesium aluminium alloy, they offer superior heat dissipation and resistance to wear compared to lower-cost alternatives. Dimensions are approximately 12 x 12 x 3 cm (4.72 x 4.72 x 1.18 inches) per filter. The star effect works by diffracting intense point light sources — such as the sun, specular reflections or artificial lights — into symmetrical linear streaks that enhance visual rhythm and atmosphere. Particularly effective during golden hour, coastal shoots or urban night photography, these filters help convey cultural cues of glamour and sparkle without digital manipulation. Their slim profile supports stacking with other filters while minimising vignetting on wide-angle lenses.
