This IO expansion module supports computer peripherals, game console controls, smart home systems, sensor management, motor control, and LED matrix driving. It is used in embedded systems and projects requiring multiple channel controls. The module features a user-configurable I2C address and standard 2.54mm pin headers. It is compatible with breadboards and development boards. The module utilizes the MCP23017-E/SS chip, which supports the I²C communication protocol. It provides bidirectional 16-bit input and output control capabilities. It expands IO port capacity for main control chips such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi. The chip operates over IIC interfaces, supporting frequencies of 100KHz, 400KHz, and 1.7MHz. Three address pins allow configuration for 8 different addresses, permitting up to 8 modules to be connected via two IIC buses. This setup supports up to 128 IO ports. Color: As Shown. Material: PCB.
