70cm #15 Separable Plastic Jacket Zipper

A 70 cm long, black, size #15 separable plastic zipper intended for demanding applications on jackets, coats, and heavy-duty bags. Constructed from rigid yet flexible plastic teeth set into 28 mm wide woven tape, it weighs approx. 42 g. The slider is also plastic and engineered for positive lock engagement. Its separable functionality means both ends disconnect cleanly — essential for garments requiring full frontal access or gear needing rapid compartment opening. The zipper resists deformation under load and maintains alignment across its full length, even when installed on curved seams or multi-layered fabric stacks. Its plastic composition avoids cold conductivity and weight penalties associated with metal equivalents, while offering better moisture tolerance than nylon coil zippers. It is frequently used to replace failed zippers on motorcycle jackets, upgrade vintage coat fronts, reinforce duffel bag openings, build cosplay armour plating systems, or convert tote bags into secure document carriers — wherever strength, full separation, and environmental resilience matter.
