7.1 USB Audio Adapter with Optical SPDIF Output

This lightweight (approx. 120 g), compact (10.5 × 6.5 × 2.2 cm) external audio adapter uses an aluminium alloy chassis for heat dissipation and mechanical stability. It delivers authentic 5.1 and 7.1 channel output via six RCA terminals and includes a dedicated optical S/PDIF (TOSLINK) output compliant with IEC60958 and S/PDIF standards. Powered and interfaced solely via USB 2.0 (backwards compatible with USB 1.1), it follows USB Audio Device Class v1.0 and supports full-speed transmission up to 12 Mbps. Sampling rates available are 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz for both playback and recording — though optical output is restricted to 48 kHz only, necessitating conversion for 44.1 kHz DTS-CD content. Input options: two analogue line-in and one fibre optic input; output options: full 5.1 analogue + optical S/PDIF. Fully multichannel on Windows 98–Win8; stereo only on macOS 9.1. Designed for users building digital home theatres, upgrading gaming rigs or enhancing vocal communication in online karaoke and conferencing scenarios.
