72-Hour Router Power Reset Cable

A purpose-built DC power timer cable that delivers one automatic power interruption every 72 hours to force a complete router reboot. Specifications: input and output connector type — 5.5mm x 2.1mm DC barrel (female in, male out); supported voltage range — DC 5V to 24V; housing and insulation material — PVC; colour options — black or white; package includes one unit only. Physical dimensions and appearance may vary slightly due to production batch differences and ambient lighting effects (tolerance ±1–3 cm). Unlike general-purpose timers or smart sockets, this device sits inline on the low-voltage DC path — meaning it interacts directly with the router’s power delivery chain. The result is a guaranteed, full-cycle shutdown and restart that clears all runtime states, including kernel-level processes and driver-level hangs often untouched by software-initiated reboots. Especially beneficial in UK residential fibre deployments where modems run continuously for weeks or months — common with FTTC/FTTP services — and where users experience gradual slowdowns or ‘ghost disconnects’ that resolve only after manual power cycling. Also useful for teleworkers relying on stable video conferencing or cloud backup services.
