In vehicles with EURO 3 and higher vehicle emissions standards, the second lambda oxygen sensor emulator is located after the catalytic converter and serves a diagnostic function. If irregularities are detected based on data from the engine control unit, an error may appear on the dashboard and the engine may enter emergency mode, depending on the vehicle make. This can result in a significant loss of power. Such issues commonly occur after removal of the catalytic converter, reduced catalyst efficiency, or replacement with a jet pipe. In these cases, installing a second oxygen sensor extender may be necessary. The catalytic converter can reduce power output by 2 to 3% and maximum power speed by up to 5%. Removing the catalyst and using an emulator offers a cost-effective way to increase power. The emulator may also assist in cases involving LPG system issues, where a rich fuel mixture could trigger the CHECK ENGINE light. Features include polished front surfaces for secure tightening, a washer included in the set, and adjustable installation angle. Threads are precision-machined for high accuracy and consistency. The exhaust gas inlet hole is 2 mm; in extreme cases, narrowing this hole can help prevent engine issues during high-speed operation. Ideal for tight or confined spaces where straight extenders cannot fit. Installation: Remove the existing oxygen sensor, screw the extender into the same port, then reinstall the sensor into the extender.
