Alloy-Core Pruning File

A purpose-built handheld file for maintaining sharpness on garden and kitchen cutting tools. The head consists of an emery abrasive layer fused onto a high-strength alloy base, mounted on a textured black plastic handle. Overall size: ~14 cm × 2.5 cm × 1.8 cm; weight: ~65 g. Suitable for pruning shears, paring knives, small hatchets and utility blades. To use: stroke firmly and evenly in one direction along the full length of the bevel, then flip the tool and repeat on the opposite side — avoiding back-and-forth motion which can blunt or deform the edge. Its portability and dry-operation make it ideal for seasonal pruning, harvest-time prep, or post-cleaning maintenance in UK homes and allotments.
