Aluminium Frame ND2 ND400 Filter

This 46mm adjustable ND filter combines durable aluminium alloy construction with high-grade tempered optical glass. It delivers verified ND2 to ND400 attenuation using a dual-circular-polariser system — offering fine-grained exposure control for DSLR and mirrorless systems. Weight is optimised for travel and handheld work, and the frame’s internal threading ensures secure fit without slippage. Operation requires initial scale familiarisation: under open-sky conditions, rotate from minimum to maximum while monitoring the viewfinder for onset of uneven dimming — document that position as your lens-specific maximum for even exposure. Beyond that point, longer exposures (≥4 seconds) are required to suppress X-shadow artefacts. The design intentionally excludes ND1000+ capability, prioritising consistency and optical fidelity over unrealistic density claims.
