ASTILBE \nDeutschland. \nOne of the mainstays of damp, shaded or woodland gardens Astilbe is also known as False Goats Beard or False Spiraea. \nThe lustrous shiny green feathery fern like foliage of Astilbe Deutschland unfurls in spring and is followed in late summer by graceful upright plumes of pure white flowers. \nFilling the garden with beauty like no other flower, the showy panicles or plumes of feathery flowers can be up to 50cm long and the lush filigree foliage helps make this plant a magnificent sight. \nAlthough Astilbe can tolerate some sun they thrive best when planted in a damp shaded border or beside water. \nAll pictures used are of mature plants in full bloom and are for illustration purposes only, they may not reflect plants at all times of the year. \nOur plants of Astilbe Deutschland are supplied ex. 9cm pots, they can be planted out immediately but better results may be obtained if they are grown on for a short time in a slightly larger container before transplanting to their final growing positions.  \nOur wide and varied range of perennials  \nPACK 1 PLANT \nIMMEDIATE \n  \nRiver Lady has produced a wonderful little on this variety and you can view it here \nWe ask all our buyers to remember Astilbe plants are living items and their appearance changes with the seasons.  Please don’t panic if the plant you receive looks different to the image on the website.
