It is harder than Teflon, but at the same time retains its advantages: it does not burn, distributes heat well. It combines the advantages of cast iron and Teflon cookware. It has all the advantages of Teflon, but is more resistant to damage, even surpassed by ceramic coatings.  The granite coating makes the dishes extremely scratch-resistant and durable.
