Black Drainage Mesh Pads 15cm

Each pad is formed from rigid black plastic with a uniform open-grid structure, sized at approximately 15 x 15 cm to suit the majority of standard UK-market plant containers. The material exhibits high tensile strength and dimensional stability, resisting bending or tearing during installation or when pressed into slightly curved pot bases. Its primary role is dual: to retain potting medium above while enabling unimpeded downward water movement, thereby supporting healthy root respiration and reducing anaerobic conditions. Widely adopted by amateur gardeners and small-scale nurseries alike, this mesh type replaces outdated practices like broken tile or coarse sand — offering repeatable, clean, and scalable drainage management for everything from desktop cacti to patio shrubs.
