Champsaurus Skeleton Fish Tank Decor

A purpose-built aquarium decoration replicating the Champsaurus skeleton — a marine-adapted archosaur from the Late Cretaceous. Available in two field-tested sizes: 20 cm (naturally sinks in freshwater and seawater) and 28 cm (stable when lightly weighted with aquarium sand in its integrated base chamber). Material: solid, opaque white plastic — non-porous, odourless, and chemically inert in aquatic environments. Surface: finely textured to mimic fossilised bone grain without compromising cleanability. Measurements include: total length (20 or 28 cm), height at sacrum ~7 cm (20 cm) / ~10.5 cm (28 cm), and base footprint ~4.5 × 2.8 cm — compact enough for foreground layering yet tall enough to create vertical interest. All joints are fused; no assembly required. Edges are fully radiused to protect delicate fish fins and invertebrate appendages. Used successfully in community tanks with tetras, gouramis, and Corydoras, as well as in species-specific setups for dwarf cichlids and hillstream loaches — providing shelter, territory markers, and behavioural enrichment without altering water parameters.
