Description
Cistus Corbariensis. Sun Rose/Rock Rose.
Cistus Corbariensis
\nAlso and perhaps better known as Sun Rose or Rock Rose.
\nA dense, low growing, evergreen shrub with wavy, darkish green, fragrant leaves
\nThe foliage takes on a reddish or coppery hue in winter.
\nCorbariensis is extremely floriferous with a profusion of blooms that look like they are made of crumpled tissue paper.
\nPretty, single white flowers with yellow centres open from reddish/pink buds in June and although each flower lasts only one day a completely new crop appears next morning.
\n A tough plant, Sun Rose will tolerate chalky soil and can withstand salt laden coastal locations.
\nOnce established it is exceptionally resistant to drought and will flourish on even the poorest of sites where no other flowering shrub can survive.
\nWhen planted in drifts Cistus Corbariensis will almost completely block weed growth.
\n This attractive border shrub will eventually reach a height and spread of 1m x 1.5m.
\n Reputed to be one of the hardiest of the Cistus family.
\nCistus Corbariensis doesn’t require a lot of maintenance, prune lightly after flowering to help keep the plant in shape and pinch back young plants to encourage a bushy habit.
\nRoyal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
\nAll pictures of Corbariensis used are of mature plants in bloom, they are for illustration purposes only and may not reflect the plant at all times of the year.

\nNature & Garden has some great ideas on How to Plant & Care for these beautiful flowering shrubs.
\nWe ask all our buyers to remember Sun Rose plants are living items and their appearance changes with the seasons. Please don’t panic if the plant you receive looks different to the image on the website. This is quite normal and not a matter for any worry or concern, it is likely to be in perfect condition for the time of year. Particularly in autumn and winter many shrubs will lose their leaves and look rather bare, gaunt and stick-like and from August onwards many perennial plants may not even be showing above the soil.\n\nWe want you to be happy with your purchase and all our Cistus plants are checked and inspected visually before packing. at . . Due to the nature of the goods we cannot accept any responsibility for their failure after planting as pests, disease, poor horticultural practice, extremes of weather and many other factors outside our control all take their toll. We can only accept Cistus . . .
