Collimated Red Dot Star Finder

A collimated red dot star finder designed for fast, accurate alignment with astronomical telescopes. Optimised for 80EQ, 80DX, SE, and SLT series instruments, it serves as a compact refracting auxiliary scope with 6–30 mm or 5–24 mm optical options. Its objective uses either double-separated or double-cemented lens elements to reduce chromatic aberration and improve contrast. The reticle features a fixed-position red dot overlaid on a focal plane with engraved aiming divisions—supporting both intuitive pointing and deliberate angular navigation. Fully mechanical and passive, it operates without power and integrates via standard finder mounting interfaces.
