The small suction cup helps the lens adhere to the applicator. Insert the contact lens into your eye as usual, with the lens positioned on the applicator instead of your finger. WHY SHOULD I USE A CONTACT LENS APPLICATOR AND TWEEZERS INSTEAD OF MY FINGERS? Handling contact lenses with fingers may transfer dirt, oils, and bacteria. While hand washing is recommended before handling lenses, it may not always be sufficient or possible. Using tweezers and an applicator provides a more hygienic method for inserting contact lenses. Avoid using fingers to reduce the risk of eye irritation and infection. Replace the kit monthly to help prevent bacterial buildup.
