Daily Medication Alarm With Timer

A purpose-built, battery-powered reminder device measuring 9.5 x 6.5 x 2.2 cm and weighing 120 g. Its robust ABS plastic casing houses a high-contrast LED display and responsive tactile buttons. Runs on two AAA batteries (not included) for long-lasting, maintenance-free operation. Supports five fully independent alarm settings — each triggering a 60-second audible tone — allowing custom scheduling for morning, midday, evening, and night doses, plus additional prompts like physiotherapy or hydration. Includes a precise countdown timer with maximum duration of 23 hours 59 minutes; upon expiry, it sounds for 60 seconds and automatically stores that time setting for reuse. Pressing any button stops the sound and displays the retained countdown value. Developed with input from UK-based Parkinson’s support groups, this tool prioritises simplicity, reliability, and tactile feedback — supporting consistent self-management without smartphone dependency or learning curves.
