DIY NE555 Flashing LED Strobe Kit

This educational electronics kit delivers a fully functional flashing LED strobe based on the widely used NE555 timer IC. Constructed on a single-layer phenolic PCB, it features clearly marked pads and silk-screened outlines for each component. Physical dimensions: 5.5 cm × 3.5 cm × 0.16 cm (board only); assembled unit weight remains under 25 g. Includes two independent LED alarm light sets — each with red, white, and blue LEDs — mounted on matching PCBs. Components are standard through-hole types: NE555 IC, ¼W carbon resistors, 10 µF and 100 nF capacitors, 1N4007 diode, and current-limiting resistors sized for 20 mA LED drive at 6 V. Compatible with common breadboard-friendly power supplies (5–9 V DC, centre-negative barrel jack or screw terminals not included). Intended for supervised student labs, self-paced hobbyist learning, and technician training in fundamental analogue circuit behaviour.
