DIY Spot Welder Digital Control Board

Designed for makers and small-scale fabricators, this digital control board enables precise resistance spot welding through thyristor phase-shift triggering. Constructed from PCB and reinforced metal, it houses an STM8 industrial microcontroller, optocoupler-isolated I/O, and screw-free quick-connect terminals for power and foot-switch wiring. Time input ranges from 1–50 (1 unit = 20 ms), current from 30–99%. A digital display shows both values clearly. Status LEDs indicate power, trigger, pin, and working mode. Zero-crossing detection ensures accurate SCR firing. Compatible with 40A–100A thyristors (40A version supplied). Must be installed at distance from transformers to avoid electromagnetic interference — a key safeguard for stable operation in home workshops.
