Eco Beech Knitting & Braiding Set

A minimalist two-tool weaving solution: one beech wood knitting fork and one small-eye needle, both shaped and finished using traditional woodworking methods. Surfaces are uniformly sanded to 240-grit smoothness, eliminating micro-splinters and ensuring compatibility with sensitive skin and fine fibres. Fork length: ~12 cm; width: ~3 cm; needle length: ~8 cm with sub-1mm eye diameter. Total mass: ~45 g. Beech wood was selected for its balanced hardness-to-weight ratio, low moisture absorption, and carbon-neutral sourcing profile across EU forestry standards. Enables foundational techniques such as four-strand flat braiding, spiral cord wrapping, loop-and-pull drawstring construction, and surface embroidery anchoring. Ideal for creating adjustable-fit bracelets, pendant cords, bag closures, doll hair braids, and trim accents on knitwear or woven textiles. Performs reliably with UK-sourced craft supplies including DMC embroidery floss, Anchor threads, and Mayflower cord. Commonly adopted by UK homeschool networks, community craft hubs, and retail gift buyers seeking ethically produced, tactile tools that support skill development without digital dependency or disposable components.
