EF-S 10-18mm Dedicated Lightproof Hood

This dedicated lens hood is constructed from robust black plastic and weighs just 22g. It is purpose-built for the Canon EF-S 10–18mm f/4.5–5.6 IS STM lens, featuring precise bayonet alignment and a petal-shaped profile calibrated to the lens’s focal length range and image circle. It performs reliably across multiple lighting challenges: suppressing glare and haze in backlight and side-light situations, minimising flare during flash use, and improving clarity in low-light or night-time exposures by limiting stray light ingress. The lightproof material ensures no internal reflection compromises image integrity. Simultaneously, it functions as a protective collar — shielding the front element from physical contact, environmental elements (wind-driven dust, light rain, snow), and accidental pressure — contributing to longer lens service life and consistent optical output over time.
