The Goobay brand RJ45 cat. 6A UTP socket is a network connector designed for direct on-site installation, without any additional tools. Thanks to the IDC (Insulation Displacement Contact) cutting mechanism, you simply place each conductor on the color-coded terminal, then close the cover and screw on the retaining cap, making it perfect for rail installations, workshops, or home use. This socket supports 10 GBase T technology as well as PoE 4PPoE standards (IEEE 802.3bt), making it suitable for high-speed installations or those powered via Ethernet. It is designed for round cables with a diameter of 5.0 to 8.5 mm, compatible with solid conductors (AWG 221-241) or stranded conductors (AWG 227-247). It can be used in home installations from an RJ45 point to a router, on a network office renovation site, or in a workshop to segment a custom cable. It is also suitable for creating an Ethernet cable for gamers, connecting a PoE-compatible surveillance camera, or configuring high-performance network access in a loft. With its unshielded design (UTP), it is ideal for environments not exposed to strong electromagnetic interference, such as living rooms, meeting rooms, or studios. In summary: a small but essential technical component to ensure the performance, modularity, and ease of installation of a next-generation wired network.
