Engine Water Temperature Sensor 1/2 NPT Thread 21mm for Generator Set

Water Temperature Sensor with Alarm Function This water temperature sensor is designed for engine cooling systems and generator sets, featuring a 1/2 NPT thread with a 21mm fitting for secure installation. It monitors coolant temperature continuously and provides a clear visual warning when temperatures reach a critical level. Alarm Operation The sensor works with an alarm switch that activates the warning light when the water temperature reaches the alarm threshold. Once the temperature rises to the alarm point and the switch closes, the light illuminates to alert the operator. When the temperature drops and the switch opens again, the light switches off automatically. Technical Specifications The sensor operates across a working range of 0 to 120 degrees Celsius, with the alarm set to trigger at 97 degrees Celsius plus or minus 2 degrees. When the alarm temperature is reached, the response time is approximately one second, allowing for prompt notification of overheating conditions. Temperature Resistance Characteristics The sensor operates on a negative temperature coefficient principle, meaning that as water temperature increases, the resistance value decreases. Conversely, when the temperature falls, the resistance value rises. This reliable behaviour ensures consistent performance across the full operating range, making it suitable for continuous monitoring in engine and generator applications.
