Fine Workmanship Laser Pickup Assembly

A meticulously assembled laser pickup unit intended for optical drive repair and refurbishment. Constructed with attention to detail and high-quality electronic components, it matches the standard size and interface layout of CDM-12.4, CDM-1204, VAM-12.4, and VAM-1204 platforms. At approx. 10 cm (3.93 inches) long and housed in ABS, it balances lightweight portability with structural rigidity. The unit performs the fundamental task of reading encoded data from optical discs via focused laser reflection analysis. Its design reflects proven engineering principles used in mass-produced optical mechanisms — prioritising consistency, longevity, and ease of integration into existing drive assemblies.
