Flat Comb Texture Brush Set 5pcs

A functional 5-piece set of flat grainer brushes built for tactile texture expression. Each brush has a rigid comb-shaped tip formed by staggered black nylon filaments, secured with durable brass ferrules and mounted on sustainably sourced wooden handles. Measured widths: 1/4", 1/2", 5/8", 1", and 1 1/2"; overall lengths fall between 18–22 cm; total set mass is ~120 g. Designed for compatibility with acrylics, watercolours, oils, gouache, and inks — and proven effective on paper, canvas, raw or sealed wood, metal sheets, glass panels, textiles, and fired ceramics. The staggered filament arrangement functions like a calibrated stamp — transferring rhythmic, repeatable texture patterns with minimal hand movement. This supports both deliberate mark-making (e.g., architectural wood grain) and gestural application (e.g., wind-blown grass). Filament density and length gradation are tuned to balance paint retention and release across viscosity ranges. Widely adopted in illustration studios for matte texture overlays, in art therapy for accessible tactile engagement, and by DIY decorators for furniture refinishing — where intuitive operation, low learning curve, and reliable repeatability outweigh novelty features.
