Repeat to cut the scion stem from the donor plant. Ensure the cut forms a precise groove. Step 2: Insert the scion stem into the groove of the rootstock, aligning the cut surfaces as closely as possible. If diameters differ, align on one side only. Step 3: Apply disinfectant material around the graft union and secure with grafting tape to protect against bacteria and environmental exposure. Step 4: Use pruning shears to remove unnecessary branches from the plant. Step 5: The grafting tool features interchangeable V-shaped, U-shaped, and flat blades.
