Big toe splint? - Static Night Splint Hallux Valgus! This orthosis for correcting the big toe is used as a conservative treatment for hallux valgus (crooked big toe). You can use it preventatively; to stretch the structures of the big toe, or to splint the big toe after surgery. This prevents the big toe from growing back. Do you have a crooked big toe? Then this night splint is the solution for you! This night splint is worn only at night and slowly corrects the position of the big toe by tensioning and stretching the entire capsule of the big toe. This is recommended if you have surgery planned. Furthermore, this orthosis can also be used after hallux valgus surgery. This night splint is then used to stabilize the big toe. The night splint ensures that the big toe remains splinted during the night and prevents it from growing back slowly. It's also a good reminder when you get out of bed that your toe has been operated on, and you're less likely to stub your toe on the bedside table or a threshold.
