Handmade Beech Sanding Block Edge Polishing

A traditional, toolroom-grade wooden sanding block made entirely from solid beech. Its compact 12 cm × 7 cm × 3 cm footprint and ~180 g weight offer ideal balance between control and downward pressure. The wood is selected for tight, uniform grain and machined to exacting tolerances before being hand-sanded and finished with food-safe mineral oil. The resulting surface is both smooth to the touch and resilient to abrasion from coarse and fine grits alike. Its tetragonal profile enables confident use on flat panels, convex curves, and narrow edges — particularly effective for smoothing edge banding after trimming and preparing surfaces for final polish. Leather reinforcement on both long sides enhances handling security without compromising tactile feedback.
