Heavy-Duty Pilot Piston Spring Kit

The SP66 GEN2 kit features eight stainless steel springs (AISI 302 grade) and eight custom-fitted piston protection inserts made from UV-stabilised engineering plastic. Individual spring free length is 32 mm; compressed height under operational load is 18 mm. Total kit weight is 0.43 kg. All materials comply with REACH and RoHS directives for industrial equipment in the UK and EU. Mounted directly on pilot pistons, the springs act as a mechanical buffer — absorbing excess energy during rapid joystick release and releasing it gradually. This results in reduced hydraulic shock transmission, quieter valve operation, and improved repeatability when performing repetitive short-stroke motions such as grading, trench cleaning or brush cutting. Compatible with any remote-actuated pilot system using standard ISO 6742-1 compliant piston caps. Not suitable for machines with integrated solenoid-assisted pilot valves or purely electronic control modules lacking physical pilot pistons.
