High-Res 14-Bit Magnetic Angle Sensor

This AS5048A magnetic rotary sensor module features a 14-bit absolute angle measurement capability with SPI interface and PWM output, built on a standard PCB substrate. Its measurement resolution is 0.0219° over 360°, achieved through an integrated analog front end and magnetic field sensing. Designed for shaft-mounted applications, it works with a simple two-pole magnet positioned above or below the IC. Zero position is user-definable via SPI command — stored permanently in internal memory — enabling flexible mechanical integration without magnet repositioning. The device maintains stable performance across temperature fluctuations (-40°C to +150°C) and tolerates practical assembly variances: lateral misalignment between sensor and magnet, and variable air gaps. Intended for pan-tilt systems, motor commutation feedback, and precision positioning where contactless, maintenance-free operation is essential.
