High Temp Oil Tolerant Retaining Compound

638 is a green, high-strength anaerobic retaining compound with verified performance across extreme thermal and lubricated conditions. Packaged in a 50 ml unit, it features a viscosity of 500 mPa·s and density of 1.25 g/cm³. It cures only when confined between closely matched metal surfaces — ideal for press-fit and slip-fit cylindrical assemblies like bearings, gears and flanges. Unlike low-grade alternatives, it maintains full bond strength after exposure to industrial oils and functions continuously from -50°C to +100°C. Its polyethylene dimethacrylate chemistry ensures compatibility with stainless steel and other passive metals without additional surface preparation. Designed for durability and ease-of-use in routine mechanical maintenance and industrial assembly operations across the UK and EU.
