IEC 13 Compatible 18AWG Power Cable

An 8.2-foot (2.5 m), 18 AWG heavy-duty AC power cable terminating in a NEMA 5-15P plug and IEC 13 (C13) connector. Built for longevity, it uses tightly twisted oxygen-free copper conductors inside a robust PVC sheath, with dual overmolded ends offering superior strain relief and impact resistance. Rated for 10 A / 125 V (7 A continuous), it meets key North American safety requirements and functions reliably across European voltages when used with appropriate plug adapters (e.g., BS 1363 to NEMA conversion). The IEC 13 end conforms precisely to IEC 60320-1 mechanical specs, ensuring full engagement with C14 inlets found on Pioneer Elite receivers, gaming PCs, NAS devices, and pro-audio interfaces. The grounding conductor is same-gauge as line and neutral — maintaining balanced impedance and effective fault-current dissipation. Jacket thickness and durometer are calibrated to resist crushing when routed under carpets or pinched in cabinet doors — a frequent failure mode for thinner cords. Each unit undergoes continuity and hi-pot testing before packaging. This cord serves as a field-proven upgrade for users replacing brittle, undersized, or non-grounded legacy cables — particularly those upgrading older AV gear or building new multi-device entertainment systems where cable integrity directly affects system stability and noise floor.
