M5x45mm Drum Hardware Screws

A set of six M5 × 45 mm screws purpose-built for snare drum tension rod assemblies and general drum hardware maintenance. Each screw conforms precisely to DIN/ISO M5 metric thread standards with 0.8 mm pitch and full 45 mm usable shank length — verified for compatibility with standard 6- and 8-lug snare configurations. Machined from durable low-carbon steel with smooth surface finish to minimise friction during repeated insertion and removal. These screws serve as direct replacements for original tension rod fasteners, supporting accurate head seating and stable tuning across temperature and humidity shifts. Their consistent geometry prevents galling or seizing in brass or aluminium lugs, especially important during frequent head changes or touring conditions. Practical applications include replacing corroded or bent screws before recording sessions, stocking spares for ensemble rehearsals, or upgrading from generic hardware kits with inconsistent thread quality. Ideal for educators, gigging drummers and studio technicians who prioritise reliability over novelty.
