Marine Parallel Ruler for Nautical Charts and Mapping

The main function: Used for chartwork to draw lines indicating bearing or course, and to measure the degree or amount of bearing or course. Two hands each hold a ruler, which are alternately moved in parallel across the chart. Usage: During operation, apply appropriate pressure to keep one foot stationary while pushing the moving foot with the other hand. The two feet are alternately shifted in parallel until the desired position is reached. This method prevents displacement of the stationary foot.
