Self-closing cores operate passively: opening under hydraulic pressure and sealing by spring-assisted reset when dry. Four calibrated silicone rings ensure gas-tight compression against pipe IDs of 32 mm, 38 mm, 40 mm and 46 mm — validated per BS EN 12056-2 for domestic gravity drainage applications.
