NE5532 Dynamic Mic Preamp

Compact, single-channel preamplifier designed specifically for dynamic microphones, using the NE5532 op-amp in a balanced topology. Input: XLR female, 10 kΩ; output: XLR male, 100 Ω; gain: 26–27 dB (balanced), 20 dB (unbalanced); frequency response: 20 Hz – 20 kHz; supply: DC 5–12 V; power usage: 0.5 W; build: black metal chassis. No controls, no settings — just consistent, reliable gain staging. The circuit prioritises low THD, wide bandwidth, and common-mode noise rejection — all essential when capturing speech or acoustic instruments with clarity and minimal colouration. Intended for users who need dependable analogue gain without software dependence or driver installation — plug in your mic, connect power, and go. Includes USB cable; no additional accessories provided.
