Nylon Rainwater Barrel Cover With Drawstring

Engineered for UK microclimates: a breathable, lightweight nylon mesh cover available in S (80 cm / 31.5 in) and L (95 cm / 37.4 in) diameters. Woven with industrial-grade nylon monofilament for superior abrasion resistance and dimensional stability — does not sag, stretch or degrade after repeated wet/dry cycles. Mesh density balances filtration efficiency and airflow: fine enough to exclude flying insects and coarse debris, yet open enough to allow natural gas exchange — preventing vacuum formation during rapid temperature drops and inhibiting anaerobic bacterial growth. Black pigment is integrated into the fibre (not surface-coated), ensuring fade resistance and consistent performance across all weather conditions — from Scottish drizzle to Kentish sunshine. Heat absorption is moderate, avoiding excessive warming that accelerates algae nucleation. The full-perimeter drawstring uses low-friction cord routed through double-stitched channels — enabling secure fit on barrels with rolled, bevelled or recessed rims. Tested on 12+ UK-standard barrel models, including Harrod, Growsafe and B&Q-branded units.
