OEM-Compatible Ignition Coil

This ignition coil assembly is a new, direct-fit component for specified Evinrude outboard engines: 9.9 HP and 15 HP units built between 1974 and 1976, and the 40 HP model from 1974. Constructed from plastic and metal, it balances lightweight handling with electromagnetic performance and environmental resilience. Tolerances conform to standard marine part allowances (±1–3 cm). It installs using original fasteners and wiring connections, and matches the footprint, terminal layout and electrical interface of the factory-fitted coil. Fully cross-referenced to Evinrude part numbers 18-5196, 581407, 502880 and 0581407, it fulfils the same ignition system role as the original — delivering accurate spark timing and sufficient voltage for reliable combustion across operational speeds.
