Our variety description - Images and text © Copyright OleanderhofColise - Oleander - Nerium oleander "Colise" is an impressive French cultivar distinguished by its exceptional flower color and growth habit. The double flowers display an intense dark pink, almost red, and are further adorned with an irregular white marking – a true eye-catcher. The flowers reach a diameter of up to 6 cm and emit a light, pleasant fragrance. "Colise" is a vigorous variety with a broad growth habit and can reach a height of up to 4 meters when fully grown. This makes it ideal for spacious gardens, large patios, or as a focal point in Mediterranean-style gardens. Thanks to its size and abundant flowering, it is perfectly suited both as a solitary plant and for planting in hedges. Its moderate frost hardiness allows it to be kept in sheltered locations or with light winter protection. In colder regions, frost-free overwintering is recommended. As a protected variety, "Colise" may not be propagated without permission – a testament to its exclusive origin and selective breeding. Delivery quality and conditions: Height measured without pot, min. 40-60 cm, one to two branched basal shoots, in an approx. 3-liter pot, with variety label. Plant not grown with growth regulators (shrinkage agents). EC plant passport number: ONPV-FR LR00365. Yellow leaves and bare shoots may be present.
