Our Variety Description - Images and Text © Copyright Oleanderhof Luteum Plenum - Oleander - Nerium oleander There are four yellow-flowering oleander varieties. "Luteum Plenum" is the only double-flowered yellow variety and is easily identifiable. It is very vigorous and remains upright. Of all the yellow varieties, it grows taller the fastest. "Luteum Plenum" produces large, highly branched flower heads, which, however, can become quite unsightly after flowering. This is due to the bacterial disease Pseudomonas, also known as oleander canker. All oleander plants are affected by this bacterial disease to a greater or lesser degree. For aesthetic reasons, the affected flower heads should then be cut off. The numerous, double, wonderfully fragrant flowers are approximately 5 cm in diameter and light yellow. The center is darker, but this is not always visible due to the double flowers. "Luteum Plenum" is the most highly recommended yellow variety. Delivery quality and conditions: Height measured without pot min. 40-70 cm, multi-stemmed, in a 7.5 liter pot, with variety label. Plant not grown with growth regulators (shrinkage agents). EC plant passport number: ONPV-FR LR00365. Yellow leaves and bare shoots may be present. Signs of Pseudomonas disease (oleander canker) may be present.
