Our variety description - Images and text © Copyright Oleanderhof Petite Red - Oleander - Nerium oleander "Petite Red" is extremely slow-growing and belongs to the dwarf oleanders. When fully grown, it reaches a maximum height of 60 to 80 cm with a similar width. This makes it ideal for small containers, even balcony boxes. The flowers of "Petite Red," along with "Emile Sahut," have the darkest red color of any oleander. They are approximately 3 to 4 cm in size and are edged with an almost black margin, which makes the buds appear extremely dark. The petals are flat and cover the entire bush. Like all dwarf oleanders, "Petite Red" is very susceptible to the Ascochyta blight fungus. A sheltered location protected from rain and Ascochyta prophylaxis in autumn are recommended. It can be recommended to enthusiasts and collectors. Delivery quality and conditions: Height measured without pot min. 30-50 cm, one to two branched basal shoots, in an approx. 3-liter pot, with variety label. Plant not grown with growth regulators (shrinkage agents). EC plant passport number: ONPV-FR LR00365. Yellow leaves and bare shoots may be present. Signs of Pseudomonas disease (oleander canker) may be present. The image of the flower on the label of the delivered plant may differ significantly from the images here in the shop.
