Pendant 42 Wolf - Bronze

Three-dimensional, artistically designed wolf's head made of bronze. The front of the pendant is partially blackened. Dimensions: approx. 24 mm high x approx. 15 mm wide Inner dimensions of the eyelet: approx. 5.6 mm high x approx. 4.6 mm wide Weight: approx. 4 g The pendant comes with a black cotton cord. Background: According to Norse mythology, Odin owned two wolves: Geri and Freki (the greedy one and the voracious one). According to the Edda, Odin left all the food served to him in Valhalla to his wolves, as he himself only drank mead. But Odin's fate is also closely linked to another wolf: in the conflagration of Ragnarök, the father of the gods was devoured by Fenrir, the giant Fenris wolf. Like ravens, wolves were also considered battlefield animals by the Vikings.
