Pendant 45 A Double Axe - Stainless Steel

Large, ornately decorated double axe made of stainless steel. The decoration is located on both sides of the chain pendant and is blackened so that it comes into its own. Dimensions: approx. 40 mm high x approx. 30 mm wide inner diameter of the eyelet: approx. 6 mm Weight: approx. 16 g The jewellery pendant comes with a black cotton ribbon. Background: Axes were an integral part of the everyday life of the Vikings. In addition to simple working axes, there were more and more special battle axes in the course of the Viking Age, which were very thin and sharp. Often the axe blades were richly decorated, so that the weapons were also used for solemn ceremonial occasions.
