Practical Dual Layer Kitchen Strainer

A thoughtfully engineered 2-piece strainer set designed specifically for fruit and vegetable preparation in home kitchens. Includes one large colander (approx. 24 cm diameter × 12 cm height) and one smaller companion (approx. 18 cm × 10 cm), both in muted beige. Weighing only ~320 g total, the set remains highly portable and easy to handle, yet delivers dependable performance. Constructed from dense food-grade plastic with uniform, machine-drilled holes — each precisely sized and positioned to optimise flow rate and particle retention. The base features a recessed hollow profile that directs water downward and outward, preventing stagnation and accelerating drying. The dual-layer principle enables seamless transition from washing to draining: simply place produce in the upper colander, rinse, then let water pass directly into the lower unit — no repositioning, no secondary containers, no sink flooding. Handles everything from firm-skinned fruits (apples, pears, citrus) to fragile items (strawberries, lettuce leaves) and root vegetables (carrots, potatoes) with equal reliability. Built for daily UK household routines: cleaning salad kits from Tesco or Sainsbury’s, rinsing frozen veg before steaming, or preparing fresh berries for desserts. Its low-profile stack saves vertical storage space, and the smooth finish wipes clean in seconds — supporting hygienic, stress-free food prep every day.
