Precision Woodworking Drill Locator

Engineered for accuracy and repeatability in UK home workshops and small joinery shops, this drill locator uses a hybrid plastic-and-metal build for strength and manageable weight (~450 g). Its Auto-Line square base measures approx. 10 cm per side (±1–3 cm measurement tolerance). Functional highlights include a keyed chuck, tapered depth control shaft, limiting ring, spring-assisted rotation, reversible chuck bracket, V-groove machined into the base, and a fully adjustable fence. The 0.64-inch (16 mm) hex shaft ensures compatibility with mainstream cordless, wired, and impact drills available in the UK. Bit capacity is 1 inch (25 mm); flipping the locator unlocks 2-inch (51 mm) width support. The V-groove delivers automatic centring on round wooden components. Two central pins install by threading into the base and tightening with a column cover featuring a built-in hex bit. Fence mounting is possible on any of the four base sides, supporting horizontal, vertical, and angled applications — from shelf-pin drilling to decorative edging.
