Pumpkin CONNECTICUT FIELD \nAn heirloom variety from the USA, it has been grown since before the 17th century. \nOne of the oldest pumpkins in existence yet Connecticut Field is still regarded as the standard or classic pumpkin. \nThe huge big pumpkins with their bright orange skin are often 40-45 cm in diameter and can weigh between 10-12 kgs each. \nThey are widely used for Halloween decoration and Connecticut Field has simply the perfect size and shape and its flat bottom makes it easy to carve. \nThe pumpkin is not just for decoration, it has many culinary uses as well and its delicious orange flesh is used in soups, stews, desserts and of course made into the traditional pumpkin pie. \nConnecticut Field grows best in a well-drained soil, rich in organic matter and simply thrives in sunshine, the more the better. \nThe sprawling vines are good yielders but to get the biggest and best fruit you will need to reduce these to one or two pumpkins per vine. \nDetailed growing instructions are on the back of each packet \nPacket contains: 12 seeds approx. \nIMMEDIATE \n \nDesign and colouring of packets may occasionally vary. \nWe want you to be happy with your purchase and all our Pumpkin seed is checked and inspected visually before packing. .
