Raspberry Malling Admiral. \nA strong vigorous grower with numerous spine free canes, Malling Admiral has excellent resistance to spur blight, botrytis and some viruses. \n Raspberry Malling Admiral produces heavy crops of large red berries that ripen from mid July. \n Succulent and juicy they have a great raspberry flavour. \nPlant in well drained acid soil 18 ins. apart and rows should be 6ft. apart. \nRaspberries are a thirsty crop so keep the plants well watered during the growing season. \nApply a good general fertilizer approx. 2 oz. per square yard along the rows of canes in March and water in. \nApply a mulch of well rotted farm yard manure or compost each year in spring. \nAfter canes have finished fruiting cut them back to ground level. \n When growing raspberries in containers it is important to remove any flowers from the canes in the first season after planting. \nBecause of its strong disease resistance Raspberry Malling Admiral is a great variety for organic growers. \nRoyal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit.
